Hallowed Crown returned to racing for an impressive victory in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) two weeks ago and is set to continue his campaign this weekend after being included in 2015 Randwick Guineas nominations.

Securing five impressive wins from his six competitive starts so far, Hallowed Crown immediately stamped his claims as one to watch upon debuting last autumn; taking out a minor over 1150m with ease before making a successful transition to black type racing in the Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes (1100m) on Day 1 of The Championships.

Returning in spring in similarly impressive form, the Street Sense entire charged home to win the Group 3 Run To The Rose (1200m) first-up before overcoming the wide and awkward barrier 14 to take out the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) on September 13th.

Yet to contest an event over a mile, trainer James Cummings is thrilled with Hallowed Crown’s condition and is confident of a further success in the Randwick Guineas.

Shooting To Win boxed on for a credible third in the Hobartville Stakes first-up, and will return to his pet distance of 1600m in the 2015 Randwick Guineas.

Beating just one runner home in the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) upon resuming in spring, Shooting To Win quickly found his feet in placing second in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) and third in the Golden Rose.

Taking out the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m) on September 27th, Shooting To Win left at generous odds in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on October 11th, but kicked well late to hit the line comfortably in the clear of closest rival Rich Enuff.

Sweynesse and Scissor Kick are surprisingly yet to break through for maiden Group 1 victories, but will be offered great chances for success in the 2015 Randwick Guineas.

Taking out a minor over 1400m before securing impressive wins in the Group 3 Spring Stakes (1600m) and Group 3 Gloaming Stakes (1800m), Sweynesse ran a credible third in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) on October 11th before an impressive performance for eighth in the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m); running the fastest final section of all 14 competitors.

Charging home to finish a close second in the Hobartville Stakes first-up, all signs point towards another strong performance from Sweynesse on Saturday, particularly in stepping up to a mile.

Scissor Kick won each of his first three starts in spring, including the Listed Rosebud (1200m) and Up And Coming Stakes; progressing to an agonizingly-close second in the Golden Rose.

Again placing second to Shooting To Win in the Stan Fox Stakes, the Redoute’s Choice colt was unable to make an impact when ninth in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) on November 1st, but returned this time for an impressive win in the Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on February 7th.

Having placed fifth in the Hobartville Stakes after being blocked for a run in the final straight, Scissor Kick will be difficult to beat in the 2015 Randwick Guineas if allocated a favourable barrier on Wednesday.

The 2015 Randwick Guineas final field and barrier draw is due to be completed an released by midday, Wednesday.
